Having
attended Reppert's Auction School in 1961, Tom began Lawson
Auction Service that same year, quickly gaining a reputation
for a fair dealer. In the 1960's and 1970's, the business
was concentrated in farm auctions and estate auctions.
Tom has extensive experience in farm liquidations, real
estate and estate auctions, and is respected in the market
as a leading professional in the auction industry. He conducts
multiple charity auctions each year, and serves with various
community-service groups, including President of the Foster
Grandparents, a division of the Agency on Aging.
Tom was inducted into the Indiana Auctioneers Assocation's
Hall of Fame in 2001, recognizing his service to the IAA
as a Past President, as well as his community service and
contributions to the profession.
Tom is owner and Principal Broker for Tom Lawson Real Estate & Auction Service, a perennial leader in the sale of private
treaty real estate in Jennings County, Indiana.
He is a past member of the Indiana Auctioneer Commission,
a state license governing body and was appointed by the
governor to serve in that position.
An auctioneer since 1977, Fred Robinson
is an accomplished auctioneer and appraiser, with experience
in retail and wholesale equipment and auto sales, food service
industry and estates/collectibles. Fred conducts appraisals
for estate and divorce personal property, and is current
on farm and residential equipment values and trends.
Fred is currently serving his second, elected term on the
IAA Board of Directors and likely will seek election to
the Executive Board. He has also served more than one
term as chairman of IAA District 6. His service to the
IAA has been continuous since his membership began. He
is also a Life Member of NAA.
Fred's expertise on “wheeled” inventory, as well as his
overall auction experience and knowledge of secondary markets,
is a benefit to both buyers and sellers at our auctions.
The newest addition to our team, Dave assists as auctioneer/ring
man on our larger auctions. Dave is an accomplished ring
man, and his skills as an auctioneer are increasing rapidly.
Dave is our primary listing agent for Decatur and Rush counties.
Darin is lead auctioneer and Owner of Wickliff & Associates, Auctioneers, Inc., Indiana's Leading Fine Arts Auctioneers, in Carmel, IN, and consults on an as-needed basis for antiques and art evaluations.
